Port-to-Port Three: Strengthening Humber and Bulgarian Trade Dialogue

Bringing together business leaders, logistics experts and trade partners to explore the Humber’s global growth opportunities.
The event is a joint initiative between Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce and C4DI - continuing the PORT-to-PORT series focused on ports, logistics, infrastructure, innovation and international trade.
Opening the conference will be Albert Weatherill, reflecting the Chamber’s growing focus on regional and international commercial collaboration.
A significant part of this year’s event will centre around the developing relationship between the Humber region and Bulgaria through participation of the British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce.
Desislava Miteva will be the visiting delegation lead to the Humber region, helping strengthen commercial dialogue between the Humber and Bulgaria’s coastal and logistics economies.
Within the Chamber team, Lorraine Holt played a pivotal role in helping shape the collaboration and wider international engagement surrounding the conference.
The morning itself will feature three curated forum discussions:
• Regional Perspective
• International Perspective
• Innovation Perspective
The Innovation Forum will be led by John Polling of Sauce exploring future-facing innovation linked to logistics, AI, infrastructure and operational systems across the Humber.
Tina Swann from C4DI is the event host.
The conference includes contribution from University of Hull linked to current logistics and regional infrastructure research activity, including perspectives connected to transport and rail innovation.
The intention is to create a commercially practical discussion environment focused on live regional opportunity, innovation, sustainability and international collaboration rather than a traditional conference format.
Additional speakers, partners and participating organisations will be announced progressively over the coming weeks.
