Recycling firm raises cash to help worthy causes

ELLGIA Limited, the regions ‘national award winning’ waste management and recycling company, have spent this summer raising funds for five worthy causes within the Region.
Having recently received the accolade of ‘Independent operator of the year’ at this year’s MRW National recycling awards, the Ellgia Team adopted the motto ‘Our award is your reward’ and set about initiating fundraising activities to support five Charities within their operational areas of Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire.

One of the initiatives was to donate £5 from every skip hired throughout the month of July. As a result of this initiative Ellgia registered a record month for skip hire through all of its regional depots bringing in extensive revenue to be forwarded and divided equally between the five Charities.
Joe Hemsley-Rudd summarised the summer activity by stating. ‘This has been a truly amazing feat by all the Team and we’re all extremely proud of the sums of money raised. We would like to thank our customers for their continued support, you allow us to give back and make a difference. It really is a case of ‘Our award being your Reward’.
Ellgia’s Sales and Marketing Director Joe Hemsley-Rudd explained ‘As a Business within the community, we understand the importance of being as active as possible in helping the people within our heartland. As a team we looked at where we thought we could help most and chose things close to our hearts and where we thought we could make a difference’.
