Humber hosts Energetic Future Conference 2026 to showcase Energy Estuary

The dawn of a major new conference as Chambers partner to bring Energetic Future 2026 to the Humber.
THE Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) to bring the exciting Energetic Future Conference 2026 to the Humber.
The conference theme is “The North Sea: From Vision to Value” which will highlight how the North Sea is evolving into a shared industrial ecosystem, linking the UK and Norway through hydrogen trade, C02 transport, offshore wind and maritime logistics.
The Humber Estuary sits at the heart of the UK side of that ecosystem. The conference will examine how the pieces connect across borders and industries and what it takes to make the ecosystem work in practice, with numerous leading businesses already taking part.
The event will see a large delegation of Norwegian business leaders descend on the region to look at business opportunities in and around the Humber, with the event getting underway with at a glittering reception at The Deep, hosted by the Deputy Norwegian Ambassador to the UK, Mariam Naqvi, on the evening Tuesday, November 17th.
Tuesday, November 17th, will see the delegates attending site visits, starting with Catch in North Lincolnshire to learn more about the industries around the Humber, before splitting into two groups to visit businesses on the north and south banks of the Humber.
At Catch, there will be presentations by Phillips 66 and VPI and Viking CCS. The first group will then stay in Lincolnshire to visit RWE for lunch and then on to Able UK before returning to Hull in the afternoon.
The second group will visit Saltend Chemicals Park, Ineos PX Group and, enjoy a tour of Hull Docks hosted by ABP, with some guests also having an exclusive portside visit to Siemens Gamesa.
The second day of the visit will see the Energetic Future Conference 2026 take place at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Hull, where there will be various energy-focused panel discussions allowing industry leaders to highlight the latest developments, opportunities and challenges.
