COMPANY: Chamber Training (Humber) Ltd.

JOB TITLE: Finance Officer

PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide administrative and financial assistance to the Financial Manager/Company Accountant and Head of Training


  1. Processing of purchase invoices and maintenance of purchase ledgers.
  2. Preparing cheques and bacs payments for purchase invoices
  3. Creating sales invoices and maintaining sales ledgers
  4. Chasing late payers
  5. Maintaining cash book and nominal ledger
  6. Maintaining petty cash floats and reimbursing departments
  7. Management of cash flow and banking activities including monthly bank reconciliations
  8. Processing payment of staff expenses
  9. Banking all cheques and cash. Allocating cheques, cash, bacs and credit/debit card payments
  10. Handling customer, supplier, subcontractor and internal queries
  11. Dealing with the incoming and outgoing employer payments in connection with all ESFA incentives and the Kickstart scheme
  12. Helping prepare monthly management accounts and any other financial information for the Accountant
  13. Preparing year-end financial accounts and support documentation
  14. Helping prepare an annual budget for the Chamber Training.
  15. Including any other Ad Hoc duties as required

Part-time hours: 21 per week
