Heald announces partnership with Powerchair Football Club

Heald announces partnership with Powerchair Football Club

HEALD, a world-class innovator in the field of perimeter security technology and the largest manufacturer of quality security equipment in the UK, has announced a new partnership with Hull and East Yorkshire Powerchair Football Club.

The partnership with Hull & East Yorkshire PFC, the region’s only powerchair football club, comes following Heald supporting Jason Liversidge to achieve a Guinness World Record by racing the ‘World’s Fastest Wheelchair’ in 2020, and is part of the club’s fundraising drive to purchase new power chairs for the club to use.

Based in Hornsea, Heald plays a vital role in supporting a variety of charities and community organisations and has in the past year raised money for WISHH, MIND, First District Leven Scout Group and the Brain Tumour Charity.

Joining as Bronze Partners, which includes a substantial donation, will enable the club, which was established in 2012 to continue to provide wheelchair users of all ages and genders with the opportunity to access the sport at both a social and competitive level.

Commenting on the partnership, Kai Gill, marketing & communications officer at Hull & East Yorkshire PFC said: “We’re extremely thankful of the recent donation that Heald has provided. This donation just highlights the impeccable support that Debbie and her team at Heald has upon the charitable and local community projects in the area. We look forward to being able to host Heald at our future match-days and carry their branding on our partners section on our club website.”

Heald Managing Director, Debbie Heald MBE added: “Having supported Jason Liversidge to achieve a Guinness World Record by travelling in the World’s Fastest Wheelchair in 2020, it seemed like the natural progression to support our local Powerchair Football team. We look forward to seeing what they achieve in the upcoming season and wish them all the best.”
