Women’s International Networking (WIN) Programme 2023/24

Women’s International Networking (WIN) Programme 2023/24

THE Department for Business and Trade has recently launched the next phase of the Northern Powerhouse pilot that promises to be both inspirational and informative:

Women’s International Networking (WIN) Programme 2023/24, 14 November 2023 - 8 March 2024.

The programme has been designed to increase the participation of women-led businesses in international trade with virtual training, business mentoring, panel discussions and peer to peer networking opportunities. It offers a structured and supportive environment for women to grow their businesses and realise their potential with a transformative agenda (see below).

Participants will hone their skills, boost confidence, and then take off on a game-changing trade mission to the USA (for those able to do so) to turn those skills into real opportunities for their businesses.

This cohort will feed into future cohorts and so the learning and the networking and scaling of businesses will continually evolve.

CLIENTS NEED TO EXPRESS THEIR INTEREST TO JOIN BY 3rd NOVEMBER and are expected to attend all UK sessions as a minimum to gain the maximum benefit.

Why should female-led businesses join?

Because they will gain:

  • Increased clarity in terms of business direction
  • Strategic tips to achieve personal and business goals
  • Greater confidence in skills and abilities
  • Enhanced pitching and communication skills
  • Invaluable contacts and connections
  • An ongoing and supportive network of female peers
  • Support from a dedicated DBT Trade Adviser (Annie Bradley) and Export Champions

What’s the eligibility criteria?
Any sector and any target market go – this programme is about creating an inclusive and collaborative network for women to empower them to grow and to learn from each other.

Why a programme just for female-led businesses?
Studies have revealed a stark reality - far less female-owned and led businesses export than male led ones. And, if women scaled businesses at the same rate as men, up to £250bn of new value could be added to the UK economy!

Can men join?
Absolutely – if they are employed in a business that is female-led.

What’s the cost?
The fee to join has been subsidised. This includes access to all UK and overseas activities. Flights, accommodation and sustenance are not included. Discounted flight and accommodation rates may be available.
