Opportunities in the USA: A road map to Texas -Webinar - 29th February, 2024 @2:30pm - 4:00pm

Opportunities in the USA: A road map to Texas -Webinar - 29th February, 2024 @2:30pm - 4:00pm

BUSINESSES from across the Northern Powerhouse are invited to join the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and Blue Link Worldwide for a webinar highlighting the elements to consider when looking to expand in the USA, with a focus on the state of Texas.

The US is the UK’s largest export market for goods and services and the world’s largest economy. With low regulatory barriers, minimal language barriers and access to the global supply chain, it offers huge potential for UK exporters. However, the US is a federal system, not a single national market. This means you will need to treat each state as a separate entity with its own procedures and regulations. With a strong trade and economic relationship between the UK and the state of Texas, there
is no better time to consider this market as part of your export strategy.

UK products and services are in demand in the US and have a strong reputation for quality. As with all large markets there is a diverse range of opportunities for exporters with the right product or service. The UK also leads all nations for the number of foreign direct investment projects in Texas and is Texas’ ninth-largest trading partner (2022). UK goods exports to Texas amounted to £4.4bn in 2022.

For those businesses looking to grow their existing footprint, make acquisitions or set up new operations in the USA, it is crucial that they plan appropriately so that no unexpected costs, delays, taxes or fines are experienced during the process.
Join this session to receive an update on the USA, discover the key considerations to do business in this market and explore the business opportunities that exist in Texas.
