Cabinet Office update on latest Covid-19 support and guidance
THE Cabinet Office has asked the Chamber of Commerce to help publicise these key messages and available grants.
These include key announcements and updates cover the Chancellor's statement on increased support for businesses across the UK, the Business Support Finder, Working Safely guidance and new assets and messaging for the Green Homes Grant Scheme.
Chancellor's announcement on Business Support
Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, has announced that increased support for businesses is available across the UK. Full details of the Chancellor's statement are available here and include:
- the furlough scheme will now be extended until the end of March across the UK
- the next self-employed income support grant will also increase from 55% to 80% of average profits - up to £7,500
Business Support Finder
Support is available to employers and the self-employed, including sole traders and limited company directors. Businesses, whether open or closed, may be eligible for loans, tax relief and cash grants. Use the Business Support Finder to see what support is available.
Working Safely Guidance
The Working Safely guidance has been updated to reflect the new national restrictions.
Green Homes Grant
During national restrictions work can still take place under the Green Homes Grant scheme.
