Hull & East Yorkshire LSIP Forum

The Hull and East Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan (HEY LSIP) team are delighted to announce that their next Forum will take place on Monday 15^th September 2025 from 9.30am for a 10.00am start until 1:30pm.

The event will take place at Sewell Group's head office in East Hull where you will get chance to see their new Digital Construction Academy. The facility is designed to give young people an insight into the construction industry, with a digital edge. The academy will provide free access to a range of hands-on, inspiring opportunities to get young people enthused about their future career. During the event, there will be an opportunity to meet some young people who have done pilot sessions at the Academy and other industry partners involved.

The CITB and Humber Training Group will talk about their current and future work within the sector, to support the Government’s objectives for construction.

We will hear from the Armed Forces about their activities to promote the skills of veterans and cadets, that can help fill the skills gaps that employers and educators are experiencing.

There will also be an update on our LSIP progress across our five key themes (Technical Skills, Educational Teaching Professionals, Employability Skills & Behaviours, Careers Guidance and Accessibility), along with plans for LSIP 2.0.

A free buffet lunch will be provided, along with refreshments, during the event. And there will be time to network and make new contacts across the skills landscape in Hull, East Yorkshire and the Humber.
