Wilkin Chapman Solicitors has announced its plans to support workforce through the soaring cost of living crisis with £1,000 to be given to over 350 employees.

Wilkin Chapman Solicitors has announced its plans to support workforce through the soaring cost of living crisis with £1,000 to be given to over 350 employees.

Chief executive officer, Robin Simmonds

IN recognition of the challenging external factors affecting the cost of living, particularly in increased fuel and energy costs, the firm has agreed upon a sum of £1,000 which it hopes will alleviate some of the pressures being faced by its people.

With inflation currently at 9% and expected to rise to 11% in the coming months, this sum of money will go some way to help with the unprecedented increase in the cost of living. Wilkin Chapman confirmed this is in addition to pay reviews and performance bonus decisions.

This one-off bonus is not the firm’s only effort in recent months to help employees as agile working was introduced, allowing many of the firm’s people to work remotely.

The firm also has an extensive Employee Assistance Programme which includes a range of wellbeing initiatives, a comprehensive healthcare scheme, other benefits including alternative therapy treatments and a rewards scheme providing discounts on goods, services, groceries and more, in order to contribute towards a happy and healthy workforce.

Chief executive officer, Robin Simmonds commented “It’s been a challenging few years, and now with the burden of increased cost of living, we’re making this payment to help our people combat rising prices.

“This payment reflects our concern for the challenges being faced by everyone in our business and although this will not mitigate the national economic climate, we hope it will go some way towards helping our Wilkin Chapman family in the months ahead.”
