San Pietro shortlisted for Great Food Club Awards 2026/27

NORTH Lincolnshire restaurant San Pietro has been named a Restaurant Category Finalist in the Great Food Club Awards 2026/27, having been shortlisted from around 3,000 public nominations.
This latest recognition follows San Pietro’s national achievement earlier this year, when it was named Best Restaurant in the Midlands at The Italian Awards 2026.
The awards, run by Great Food Club and voted for by its members and readers, celebrate independent hospitality and food and drink businesses across the UK. San Pietro’s place on the shortlist reflects the strength of support it has received from guests and the wider local community.
“We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for a Great Food Club Award, following our win as Best Restaurant in the Midlands at The Italian Awards 2026,” said Michelle Catalano, co-owner of San Pietro. “To be recognised through public nominations means the world to us, and we’re grateful to everyone who has supported San Pietro for the past twenty-two years, and for the Great Food Club members for nominating us!”
Cited in the Great Food Club Guide as ‘combining elegance, character and consistency,’ San Pietro joined the Great Food Club last year, thanks to its ‘ambitious food, that is rooted in authentic Sicilian flavours, with a clear focus on using the best fresh produce for seasonal menus’.
San Pietro - one of three Greater Lincolnshire businesses featured in this year’s shortlist - is a finalist in the ‘Restaurant’ category alongside:
- Noel’s Arms, Melton Mowbray
- Skein, Nottingham
- John’s House, Mountsorrel
How the awards work
With the shortlist compiled from member nominations each year, Great Food Club discards multiple nominations from the same IP address to keep the public vote as fair as possible. Four nomination-winners are chosen for each category – Restaurant, Pub, Food Producer, Drink Producer, Shop, Café and Bakery, with the People’s Choice award going to the business that receives the most nominations across all categories.
Now that the shortlist has been announced, judges will be visiting each venue anonymously to select the winners, which will be announced in September 2026.
