Law firm Rollits appoints leading employment specialist

Law firm Rollits appoints leading employment specialist

Ed Jenneson and Caroline Neadley - Rollits LLP

Law firm Rollits has appointed leading employment law specialist Caroline Neadley to its existing team of employment law experts. Solicitor Caroline joins Rollits from Humberside Police and brings with her over 15 years’ experience in both the public and private sector.

She will use her expertise to advise business clients on employment legislation, tribunal claims and advocacy, and provide training to help them manage a multitude of legal issues in the workplace.

As a result of Caroline’s appointment, Rollits – which has offices in Hull and York – now has the largest team of qualified employment lawyers in East Yorkshire, with 40 years’ experience between them. Last week, the team was ranked in the top tier for employment law in Hull and East Yorkshire in the Legal 500 2017, a survey of the UK’s top 500 law firms.

Ed Jenneson, Head of Rollits’ employment team, commented:

“To recruit someone of Caroline’s calibre is a real coup for Rollits and will certainly strengthen our credentials in the field of employment law

“Caroline has a first-rate reputation both regionally and nationally, and brings years of experience to our department. Caroline will undoubtedly provide excellent service to our clients and contribute to further growth in this area of our business.”

Caroline has remained close to her Yorkshire roots and has spent her entire legal career in the county. She graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with law degree in 2001, before attending the College of Law, in York, to study her Legal Practice Course. In 2002, she started her career as a trainee solicitor at another local law firm, where she spent 11 years and, immediately upon qualification in 2004 Caroline embarked upon her specialism in employment law.

In her most recent role as an employment law specialist within Humberside Police’s legal department, Caroline advised chief constables and acted as Deputy Force Solicitor. She formed part of a 10-strong team of employment lawyers covering the Humber region and South Yorkshire, following the force’s collaboration with South Yorkshire Police.

Caroline, who lives in Hessle, balances her professional career as a solicitor with being a busy mum-of-two. She is also a governor at Swanland Primary School, and former chair of Hull women’s networking group Women in Business.

On her appointment, Caroline said:

“Joining the employment team at Rollits is a fantastic opportunity for me. The firm has an outstanding reputation and a great client base, which I am looking forward to developing further.

“The team already has a proven track record in advising both employers and employees across a variety of sectors including education, manufacturing, food and sport. I’m excited to bring my public sector expertise into this mix too and building on my existing private client experience.”
