Hull University Business School brings funded training to Greater Lincolnshire
HULL University Business School is launching two new Skills Bootcamps for professionals and businesses across Greater Lincolnshire:
Applied Leadership & Coaching
Robotics Adoption for Business.
The programmes are part of the Government's Lifetime Skills Guarantee. They are funded by the Department for Education through Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority, and delivered by the University of Hull. Both programmes were designed with local businesses and professionals to meet the needs of the region, helping organisations to grow, retain talent and prepare their workforce for the future.
The programmes
Both programmes run part-time over eight weeks, with one full day of face-to-face teaching each week in Grimsby.
Applied Leadership & Coaching helps managers lead teams through change, make better strategic decisions and use coaching to get the best from their people. It covers modern leadership, emotional intelligence, influence, organisational culture and project management. Each participant also receives a personal psychometric profile from Insights Discovery.
Robotics Adoption for Business gives senior decision-makers and operational leaders a practical, non-technical route into robotics and AI. Participants learn to identify automation opportunities, assess readiness, choose suppliers and build a business case. Live demonstrations and case examples draw on ports, logistics, manufacturing, food processing, offshore energy and professional services, and each participant completes the programme with an action plan for their own organisation.
Participants learn from leading academics and industry experts, and receive an Executive Education certificate from the University of Hull.
Funding
Participants who live in Greater Lincolnshire can receive 90% funding if they work for an SME (up to 250 employees), or 70% if they work for a larger employer. The remaining contribution can be paid by the participant or their employer. Those who are not eligible for funding can still join at the full course fee.
