Exciting new socially distanced cinema experience Docks Drive-in is taking you to the movies

AN exciting new drive-in cinema experience is coming to town and launching on July 10th.

The Docks Drive-in is a safe and socially distanced drive-in movie experience brought to North East Lincolnshire by Docks Beers and renewables disruptors, myenergi.

The organisers tell us: "It is a fully charged drive-in cinema experience with a state-of-the-art, super bright LED screen. Starting 10th July 2020 we will be taking over the grounds of the Linden Homes Club to screen 14 of the best ever films; including animated classics, sci-fi blockbusters and comedy smash hits.

"We offer our customers a fantastic selection of street-food, snacks and drink – all ordered, paid for and delivered contactlessly.

"The idea came about when Covid-19 hit and the Docks Beers team's diaries emptied, so with the prospect of an uncertain future, job losses and the harsh reality of not getting back to normal until 2021, we started seeing creatives and technical teams talking locally and nationally, and we responded with a South Bank Think Tank to come up with solutions and ways to fill a “gap”.

With like minded people, ESS, Docks Beers and T-Mec (stage & Lights) we had the ingredients with a moderately low risk to put on the “show”. And the Docks Drive In was created.

"With people looking for safe options for entertainment, great food and movies, a strong brand and good backbone technical support, we have been able to put this together at very short notice.‘

"Working with Cleethorpes Town FC the team hope to bring much needed income to the facility, as well as through their own companies, be able to re-employ staff, hire equipment and put money back into their sector."
