DoubleTree by Hilton Hull Appoints New General Manager

JUNE 2026: DoubleTree by Hilton Hull has appointed Ross Blezard as its new General Manager, bringing more than 25 years of hospitality leadership experience across Hilton Hotels & Resorts, luxury resorts and international destinations.

Ross joins the city-centre hotel at a significant stage in its development, with preparations underway for the launch of The Horizon Suite, a new 300m² event space due to open later this year. The investment will expand the hotel's meetings and events offering, adding capacity for conferences, celebrations and large-scale events in Hull.

Located in the heart of Hull city centre, DoubleTree by Hilton Hull offers stylish guest rooms and suites, meetings and event facilities for up to 1,000 guests, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, and the Lexington rooftop bar.

Ross will lead all aspects of hotel operations, guest experience, team engagement and commercial performance, while overseeing the hotel's continued growth and development.

With an extensive background in hotel operations and people leadership, Ross joins DoubleTree by Hilton Hull following his role as General Manager at De Vere Latimer Estate in Chesham. Prior to this, he held senior leadership positions, including Resort General Manager at Macdonald Aviemore Resort and Director of Operations roles at Hilton Ramses Cairo, Hilton London Wembley and Hilton at St George's Park.
