Andrew Jackson appoints Chris Booth as partner and head of employment

Jonathan Dale with Chris Booth

JONATHAN Dale, who has led the firm’s employment team since 2007, has recruited Chris to the team to focus on the continued growth of the firm's employment offering, and to enable Jonathan to focus on strategic and dedicated support to some of the firm’s largest clients.

With more than 35 years’ experience, Chris has advised both businesses and individuals on the full spectrum of employment law matters. Throughout his career, he has worked with organisations of all sizes - from SMEs to major national employers, including M&S, ASDA, Smith & Nephew, Sage, Direct Line and William Hill - as well as advising senior management on new appointments and exit strategies.

In all matters, Chris combines his depth of expertise with a clear, pragmatic approach tailored to the particular needs of each client, with an emphasis on creating lasting solutions. Prior to joining Andrew Jackson, Chris was a long‑standing partner based at the Leeds office of an international law firm.

Jonathan Dale, partner, said:- “After many years leading the employment team, I’m delighted to hand over the reins to Chris, who is recognised as being among the leading employment lawyers in the UK. It is testament to the strength of the practice that Chris has chosen to join us; his appointment ensures the team remains in very safe hands, enabling me to dedicate more time to supporting the growing needs of our clients.”

Chris Booth added: - “I’m delighted to join Andrew Jackson, a firm that is well known and respected for its client focused and pragmatic approach. I look forward to working with Jonathan and the wider team to build on their strong reputation and to continue delivering clear, practical advice that helps clients achieve positive outcomes.”

The strength of Andrew Jackson’s employment practice is independently recognised: it has been top-ranked for several years by The Legal 500, a leading industry guide to the legal profession. This independent endorsement, alongside the firm’s broader rankings, underlines its depth of expertise and quality of client service.
