British Agrifood Consortium
The British Agrifood Consortium exists to provide recommendations and solutions for agrifood businesses worldwide.
The focus of the consortium is to recommend and implement systems and structures to assist private and public sector organisations in the development of markets, products, policies and agrifood security.
The Consortium can provide strategic and market entry support and recommendations for business development. Advice can be given on primary and secondary production, good agricultural practice, and environmental awareness, developing effective means of processing and distribution, preservation and packaging techniques and developing supply chain relationships.
In addition, the Consortium offers inspection and organic certification systems for a wide range of crops and livestock and can train inspectors of organic agriculture. It can also develop and tailor agri-business training packages in support of organisations.
The Consortium has recently targeted assistance to the public and private sector to address issues of food traceability and advise on the introduction of the most effective and integrated supply chain systems possible.
