Anything to Declare?

Anything to Declare?

The first deadline for delayed customs import declarations is approaching fast. Anyone who took advantage of the 1st January 2021, 175 day extended period to complete their import declarations must now do so by the 25th June.

The UK Government deferred declarations scheme has been extended until 31st December 2021, but importers must process their 175 day declarations on a rolling basis. Missing the deadline may lead to an HMRC fine and removal of the right to delay future declarations.

If you have been using EIDR since 1st January 2021 and have your own Deferment Account, ChamberCustoms is able to help you with the Supplementary Declarations that must now be submitted to HMRC. Please get in touch with our ChamberCustoms team for information and guidance.

If you have been importing from the EU 27 this year and have neither made an entry into your own records (EIDR) nor lodged a full frontier declaration (standard import declaration entry on CHIEF) for the import(s), please also get in touch with the HHCC's ChamberCustoms Team.

Please click here or contact l.holt@hull-humber-chamber.co.uk for further information regarding our customs declarations service.
