Officers and Staff

Malcolm Scott is Principal of Scotts Surveyors, a Hull based firm which he established 12 years ago. The practice also has offices in Grimsby. Malcolm has been involved with the Chamber for many years and last year was the Chair of the Chamber's Hull Area Council.

Carol Thomsett is the Business Development Manager at Reeds Hotel in Barton on Humber, where she has worked for the past two and a half years. As well as being the Vice President of the Chamber, she also sits on the North Lincolnshire Area Council.

Mike Johnson is Director of Commercial Banking for The Royal Bank of Scotland in the Humber region and has been based in Hull for 15 years. Mike joined the Hull and Humber Chamber Board in 1993.

The Chamber's Chief Executive is Dr Ian Kelly. Ian joined the Chamber in 1995 from Leeds Chamber of Commerce, and was, at that time the youngest Chief Executive of a Chamber of Commerce in the UK. He has previously worked at the House of Commons, in the Australia Parliament and at Leeds University.
