Area Representation
The Chamber’s area meetings are a vital part of what we do. They enable members to raise issues affecting their businesses and directly influence key decision-makers in the local community.
Meetings are chaired by an elected Chamber member and held bi-monthly or quarterly in five areas: Hull, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Goole and Bridlington (click on a link for more information from that area).
Each meeting has its own agenda, drawn up according to the interests of members in that area, and is addressed by a guest speaker who has a direct influence on issues facing local businesses. Speakers are chosen on the grounds of seniority, knowledge or influence and cover a wide range of interests over the course of a year.
Meetings in Bridlington and Goole are open to all members, but because of the size of the Chamber’s membership in Hull, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire, representative Area Councils operate in those areas.
